This short blog took alot of guts for me to create. As I am extremely scared of dental work. The last time I was in one they told me that in order to remove my wisdom teeth they would simply need to only Dislocate my jaw, Followed by some bone cutting, then onto the removal process. But wait it gets better after relocating my would be sore and chopped up jaw the healing process would require me to have my mouth wired shut for some time. It was awhile ago so I am not sure how long they said. Yeah Sign me up, I will come back in a few days for that procedure.

Fast forword 15 years and living with a painfull wisdom tooth for what seemed forever. It was finally the new crack in it that sent me into pain overload and looking Last Minute, on a Weekend, to find an Oral Surgeon to make it stop. Immediately.

Sacramento Surgical Arts right here in Natomas was the only Oral Surgeon that I was able to get into on such short notice, I mean no notice. Yes there were other people already set with appointments but they placed me in as an emergency appointment and got me seen rather quickly.

Dr. Heir let me know that none of the procedures I mentioned earlier needed to be done as my tooth straightened itself out. And would not take much time at all. It pretty much went like this after verifying my current medications via calling my pharmacist I received a shot of Novacaine ( It was a very small needle) and honestly could not really feel it much and was the last thing I felt for about 3 hours. after about a minute two more novacaine injections this time I believe to be around the tooth. Fast forword 10 minutes and we are ready to do this. Now I was expecting some feeling during all of this as Dr. Heir explained the procedures before we started this and mentioned I should not feel much pain only maybe some pressure. I honestly could not feel a thing not even once. I am looking straight up and listening to the sound of my tooth getting clamped and pulled. And quickly a few minutes later it was done. And onto the next anoramic X-ray to verify everything was perfect. Seen here :)


Natomas I recommend Dr. Heir and the entire staff at Sacramento Surgical arts to anyone needing an Oral Surgeon. I was only there a few hours and appreciated the extra time spent explaining what would need to happen. And the fact that I felt almost nothing was just terrific. My follow up is tommorow and I wanted to share this info especially to those like me who are not the bravest when visiting a dentist.
